United Press International - News. Analysis. Insight. - NewsTrack - Entertainment: "Saying he was pleased that the FCC agreed to investigate, Hinchey said, 'I hope that the FCC will ensure that corporate interests stay out of newsrooms so that the American public can be on the receiving end of journalism, not direct or indirect corporate promotion ... Any further consolidation of newsrooms and attacks on journalists would be contrary to the best interests of the public.'"

bzzzt...wrong answer, *everyone* is subject to inquiry, *especially* journalists...Those CBS stations should switch news affiliations (lol), or create another structure, or the FCC should force "equal time" on *them* instead of radio...how's *that* for a different spin? Personally, I think there's too much ideology generated by too few players in the industry, as opposed to those dogged "fact-checkers" they try to sell the public.

...at least that was my comment, thought it would be posted, guess it's an email...
